Congratulations to Good Shepherd’s high school graduates,
Paige Lee Bolding, daughter of Cheryl and David Bolding and granddaughter of Delores Poteat, graduates from Stuart Cramer High School on Saturday, June 10. Paige plans to attend Gaston College for two years in the Fine Arts program. Following her graduation from Gaston College, Paige plans to transfer into another college to continue her studies.
Cassidy Grace Concannon graduates June 10 from Stuart Cramer High School. Cassidy is graduating with honors and as a member of the National Honor Society. She will continue her education by attending East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. Cassidy is the daughter of Scott and Jan Concannon.
Zachary Frazier “Zack” Merritt is also graduating June 10 from Stuart Cramer High School. Zack is graduating with honors and was a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. He plans to attend Appalachian State University in Boone to major in English with a concentration in Film Studies. Zack is the son of Laura and Bill Merritt and the grandson of Interim Pastor Cyrus Frazier.
Caroline Margaret Philbeck, daughter of Kelly and Susan Philbeck, graduates June 10 from Highland School of Technology. Graduating with honors, Caroline is a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and the Beta Club. She served as an officer in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club and completed the Career and Technical Education pathway for Business and Legal Studies. Caroline also plans to attend Eastern Carolina University of Greenville, N.C. to major in Political Science. She hopes to achieve a post-graduate degree and become a lawyer.

We welcome all to celebrate the Nativity of Our Lord with festive music, storytelling, and Holy Communion. This service is especially designed for families with children. It will incorporate a great deal of interaction and participation. All ages are invited to come and celebrate with us!
What do we have to learn from the early days of the Church? Beginning Tuesday, May 19, Pastor Cuttino will begin a four-week adult Bible study on the Book of Acts. Classes will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, May 26, June 2 and June 9. All adults are welcome.
After a brief hiatus, the Social Ministry Committee is back to work! Judy Suttenfield will chair the committee and invites all Good Shepherd members who are interested in outreach ministries to join her at a reorganization meeting.
All men of the congregation are invited to join us for the last Men’s Breakfast until the fall! Gary Engel will provide breakfast and Bruce Zander will give a presentation on Habitat for Humanity.
Come join us for an all-you-can-eat pancake brunch during Mount Holly’s Springfest. $5/plate, kids under-3 eat free. Proceeds will be given to the CRO. The Youtherans will also be on hand selling candy for the National Youth Gathering.
Join us for a soup and sandwich dinner at 6:00, followed by worship in the sanctuary at 6:45.
There is only one worship service at 10:00 on December 28. It will feature Eucharist and a baptism. We welcome Rev. Travis Meier of Fredricksburg, Texas, who will preach and preside. Our regular Sunday worship schedule resumes on January 4.
