Holy Week Worship Deepens Easter Joy

Palm Sunday symbolizes Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem.  The Procession of Palms will be held at both the 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services.  Hear the Passion Story retold from the Gospel of Luke. Be sure to pick-up your worship bulletin and join us outside the narthex for the procession before each service (weather permitting).

Join us on Maundy Thursday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. for this traditional service of Holy Communion, commemorating the first Holy Communion celebrated between Christ and his disciples in the Upper Room, and the series of events leading up Christ’s betrayal and trial.

The Good Friday Tenebrae Service, a service commemorating the crucifixion of Christ, begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29. Hear the scripture readings recalling the events surrounding the crucifixion and remember the agony of Christ’s death.

Our first glimmer of Easter joy in the Resurrection of our Lord will come at the Easter Sunrise service at 7:00 a.m. on Easter morning, March 31. Join us for this celebration of Christ’s victory over death and the grave.

Our traditional Easter Breakfast will follow this service in the Parish Hall. Once again Deanna Sharar and her “Easter breakfast crew” will provide a delicious and filling breakfast for everyone in attendance.

Continue this celebration of the holiest day of year, Easter, at the 11:00 a.m. traditional festival worship service with Holy Communion. Our celebration will include joyous singing of praises to our Risen Lord! Alleluia! He is Risen Indeed, Alleluia!
